1870 The Authentic Quality Mixer

Silver Spring offers a range of premium mixers which offer the finest blend of our spring water, filtered through the calcium rich North Downs in Kent, with the best quality international ingredients to ensure you always mix with the best.

From the Sicilian lemons used in our Bitter Lemon, to the Brazilian essential oils used elsewhere in the range, our onsite mixologists have spent the last century perfecting our recipes for our customers enjoyment. These heritage recipes have created a classic range of mixers including Tonic Water, Ginger Ale, Bitter Lemon, Soda Water and Lemonade. The carefully selected ingredients satisfy the palate whether mixed in evening cocktails, a pre-dinner aperitif or enjoyed on their own with just ice for company.

Lemonade – Containing a higher level of juice, we blend top quality Argentinian lemon oil with a hint of lime juice oil to add that extra zip and freshness.

Tonic Water – Mixing the finest quality essential oils from California, Mexico, Brazil and Italy. Notes of Sweet and Bitter Orange, Lime and Lemon have been blended with delicate floral notes to provide a sharp, dry and refreshing profile perfect either blended or just enjoyed on its own.

Bitter Lemon – A wonderful mix of the best citrus oils, we combine top quality Sicilian lemon, lime, grapefruit and orange to create a traditional recipe with a contemporary twist.

Ginger Ale – We blend extracts of African and Indian ginger with a hint of Jamaican ginger root to add that extra kick, perfectly balanced with citrus notes of lemon and lime for freshness with a touch of capsicum providing a little nip of heat at the very end.

Soda Water - Pure, crystal water with a tantalizing aroma is carefully balanced with our spring’s natural minerals to bring out the finest flavour.

The 1870 Polo Team

As a quintessentially British brand, 1870 are proud sponsors of the Great British sport of polo through our very own polo team.  It seemed like the perfect match for our historic brand which champions ‘always mixing with the best’ and it is an association which we are extremely proud of.

1870’s polo team are collectively some of the most experienced international polo players in the game.  Between them they have won countless titles including the Cartier World Cup and the Gold Cup.

The team had a great season during 2010, taking home the silverware in the form of the Midhurst Town Cup at Cowdray Park.

We have high hopes for our boys in the forthcoming 2011 season and we know they can’t wait to get back in the saddle!
