As demand for Silver Spring's natural spring water continued to grow, the company relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility at the Park Farm Industrial Estate in Folkestone. This move marked a major step forward in the brand’s development—enabling increased capacity, improved bottling efficiency, and even higher quality standards. The new site allowed Silver Spring to uphold its long-standing commitment to purity while meeting the needs of a growing customer base across the region. It was a modern evolution,carefully aligned with tradition.

Silver Spring became the first company in the UK to introduce 2-litre PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles, marking a major breakthrough in water bottling technology. This innovation offered customers a more durable, lightweight, and recyclable alternative to traditional glass — without compromising on the purity or freshness of the spring water inside. It also allowed the brand to meet growing demand with greater efficiency and convenience, reinforcing Silver Spring’s position at theforefront of quality and innovation in the bottled water industry.

Silver Spring was officially established in Folkestone, Kent, beginning its journey as a dedicated producer of high-quality mineral water. Drawing from the natural springs in the region, the company laid the groundwork for what would become one of the UK’s most enduring names in bottled water. Its commitment to purity, refreshment, and local craftsmanship would go on to define the brand for generations

Silver Spring launched Perfectly Clear, a flavoured sparkling water made with natural spring water—offering a refreshing new way to enjoy hydration without compromising on purity. It was one of the first products in the UK to combine the clarity of spring water with light, fruity flavours and carbonation. Perfectly Clear quickly became a national favourite, marking a new chapter in the brand’s legacy. This innovation showcased Silver Spring’s ability to evolve with changing tastes while remaining true to its commitment to clean, high-quality spring water.

Silver Spring was acquired by Clearly Drinks, a company with shared values around sustainability, quality, and natural hydration. As part of this new chapter, Silver Spring began sourcing from Northumbria Spring—a protected source renowned for its clean, crisp taste and water naturally rich in essential minerals. This move ensured the continuation of Silver Spring’s legacy: delivering exceptional spring water while embracing modern standards in sourcing and environmental responsibility. Though ownership evolved, the brand’s dedication to purity and excellence remained unchanged.

In 2024, Silver Spring entered a new phase of growth as its parent company, Clearly Drinks, was acquired by Supreme Imports. This strategic acquisition marked a long-term commitment to strengthening and scaling Silver Spring while preserving its core values. Backed by Supreme’s strong retail network and operational capabilities, the brand is now positioned to expand its presence while continuing to prioritise mineral-rich spring water and responsible production. This new chapter builds on over 140 years of heritage—focused on securing a bright, sustainable future for Silver Spring.

Silver Spring proudly reintroduces itself with a refreshed identity—modern in design, but timeless in principle. This relaunch honours the brand’s original promise: Nothing Added. Nothing Removed.
